We are an informal community of 400+ conscious professionals and global peacemakers of all ages and backgrounds from more than 45 countries around the world.

Since we first gathered online in April 2020, we have been sharing and learning practical ways to support, pacify and nurture ourselves and prevent violence and promote peace with those around us during a very challenging time for global health and security.

You don’t need to be a “professional” or a “peacemaker” for free GCP membership. We just hope that you have a strong desire and commitment to make a sustainable, positive difference in the world. Learn more about our free sessions here and get in touch with us to become a member.

How GCP works

GCP has been co-founded and is co-hosted by Jeremy Solomons (based in Kigali, Rwanda) and Nadine Binder (based near Bremen, Germany) and has been evolving over time based on the needs, ideas, and preferences of its community members.

So far, we have followed several different formats for our monthly, virtual gatherings and we have currently settled on a 90-minute formal session, followed by 30 minutes of open, informal conversation for those who can stay a bit longer.

Each full session is repeated twice on the same day to be as accessible around the world as possible – and some community members even stay up past midnight to participate twice!

To maintain an intimate and comfortable space and respect participants’ privacy, we are not recording any of our sessions.

How to join a session

To join us, please get in touch with us and let us know how you learned about us and why you would like to join. We will then provide you with more information about how to register for upcoming sessions.

Session Structure

Typically, each sessions start with a brief welcome to set the stage and review what has happened around the world since the last session, acknowledging both global disruption and global hope. We then invite everyone to briefly check in in small breakout groups to connect with other community members and reflect on your connection to the topic of the session. This is followed by the main presentation which typically includes at least one opportunity to discuss and share in breakout rooms to explore the topic further and process what you have learned. After 90 minutes, we wrap up officially and then keep the meeting room open for another 30 minutes for those who can and want to stay and continue the conversation in a more informal setting.
